Best Tabletop Patio Heater Reviews
Here you can read a thorough analysis of every tabletop patio heater listed in the table above.
The HLDS032 is a super cheap and popular table top patio heater produced by Hiland, that is offered by many brands although AZ Patio Heaters has it at the lowest price. Overall it’s a decent gas-powered unit and even though it has a few drawbacks, the very low price makes it a solid option. It’s 38” tall, nearly 21” wide at the top and it weighs 16.6 pounds which is around the regular weight for table top heaters. The maximum heat output of 11,000 BTUs creates a warm blanket of heat that can be felt around it, giving off a good performance that will keep you comfortable during chilly days. The body is simple and while the construction quality isn’t bad, it left me wishing that the materials used were thicker (the steel is quite thin and as such prone to rust if left unprotected and dents easily). Even then, the weight plate at the base gives it the necessary stability and the anti-tilt safety shut off gives you an extra degree of protection against the possible damages of wind. It’s available in a variety of finishes from black to hammered bronze, stainless steel and more, all of which look good and come with 1 year of warranty. Even though it could be improved, it’s a good gas patio heater that’ll give you warmth for a very inexpensive price.
Another Hiland tabletop patio heater that is sold by AZ PH, this pyramid-style unit has the same quality and drawbacks of the previous model but offers you a much more appealing design. The flaws are the same, the steel is quite thin and prone to rust if left uncovered and the craftsmanship could be improved in areas like the safety grill but even then the heat output is solid, the design is beautiful and the price is very low as well. It’s 39” tall, 12” wide and weighs 14.6 pounds making it easy to move around. The base has a little door that you can open to fit a 1 lb propane tank inside (although you can convert the feed line and use a 20 lb tank outside) and the glass tube gives off 10,000 BTUs of heat. It comes with 1 year of warranty and it’s a good choice if you’re on a budget but want a little more class.
The first electric tabletop patio heater on the list and it makes a good impression. It’s 38” tall, 22” wide and weighs 16 pounds with a weighted base to improve stability. The 1500 watts give it enough power to heat up a nice area around it and since it’s electric, it can be felt seconds after turning it on. While the heat wave is not super potent (electric units generally aren’t), you’ll still notice its presence. It can be used inside and out since it’s water proof and the stainless steel construction will keep it rust-free as long as you cover it from constant rain. It’s well constructed but be careful as the top can get very hot. As all products from AZ PH, it comes with 1 year of warranty for free.
This is my favorite unit on the list, tied with the pyramid one shown previously. It’s among the best tabletop patio heaters you can get for the money. The design is so good that it makes up for the average heat output (it’s electric after all). It’s around 36” tall, 20” wide and it weighs 13.2 pounds making it very lightweight and easy to carry. The decorative detailing and overall design is fantastic and I was positively impressed with it. The base is made of steel with a “bronze” finish which gives it a nice look while being sturdy as well. It has 1200 watts of power and heats a decent area around it although in windy days, especially if you’re a bit far, it’s not very noticeable. If you use this inside it’s great and on the outside it’s good too if you’re close to it. It comes with 1 year of warranty and for the price it’s a really beautiful and well designed table top heater.
I’ve had an enormous amount of tabletop patio heaters but only these 4 are good enough to recommend. They’re affordable, durable and pack a punch while also giving you a touch of class. I hope you’ve enjoyed reading the article and be sure to check out the top rated patio heaters list as well, it’ll show you the very best full-sized units you can get.
